Artificial Intelligence Policy
Generative artificial intelligence may assist scholarly work, but its use does not transfer authorship or scholarly responsibility from the human author. Transparency is therefore mandatory.
Mandatory disclosure
Authors must disclose generative-AI use in a footnote or acknowledgments section and clearly identify the type of assistance received.
Author responsibility
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, attribution, and final content of the work.
Editorial assessment
OHP may assess manuscripts for originality, attribution, and compliance with disclosure requirements. Undisclosed or inappropriate generative-AI use may be considered in the editorial decision.
