Digital Preservation
Preservation is part of the mission and editorial responsibility of Open Heritage Press. Digital preservation extends that commitment to the continuity, accessibility, identification, and integrity of scholarly outputs over time. This policy states OHP’s preservation principles; specific preservation mechanisms are documented as they are implemented.
Preservation principle
OHP treats preservation of cultural and environmental heritage as part of its institutional mission.
Digital continuity
Publication records, bibliographic information, and digital scholarly objects are managed with the objective of supporting continued identification, traceability, and access. Preservation mechanisms may vary by publication type and repository arrangement.
Responsible stewardship
Preservation decisions should support authenticity, traceability, and the long-term scholarly value of the published record.
